Responsibilities:

  • Grow sales within your assigned group of accounts
  • Make deals, increase sales, build relationships, focus on competitor take outs, formulate sales and account plans
  • You must be driven to overachieve and to be number one
  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors
  • Focuses sales efforts by studying existing trends within the industry and your own group of customers
  • Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analysis
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results, customer feedback and competitive developments
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Services customers by answering product and service questions; suggesting information about other products and services
  • Opens customer accounts by recording account information
  • Accurately enter customer orders and RMAs
  • Provide customers with key information such as order status, price and availability
  • Maintains customer records by updating account information
  • Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution
  • Answer, screen and forward any incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed
  • Perform other clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, collating, faxing etc.
  • Updating sales orders as needed
  • Supporting our Sales staff when they have requests
