Our primary Logistics Center is strategically located in Carrollton, Texas, to facilitate efficient and quick delivery of products to our customers nationwide. In addition, we have a satellite logistics centers and retail stores located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Las Vegas, Nevada, which provide as alternate distribution channels for varying customer needs. Additional locations will be strategically added in the near future as we continue to expand our network.

We have the ability to deliver on demand or just-in-time and be your entry to multiple markets and customers. Where customization is required, we are able to accommodate B-2-B and seamless EDI inventory and order tracking based on individual customer needs.

Sourcing & Procurement
UPG has valuable strategic alliances with vendors located in Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Korea and Japan. Through these alliances, we are able to offer a wide and expanding range of batteries, chargers and other power products, as well as links to outsourcing agents for specialized "hard-to-get" items. UPG professionals are available to help address and analyze any product, technical, design and cost concerns.

Value-Added Services

Battery Pack Assembly UPG has the ability to design and assemble custom battery packs for door locks, two-way radios, flashlights, and more. These packs consist of assembled groups of batteries combined electrically into a single unit. We have specialized equipment such as electric welders, sonic welders, computer aided design computer programs, computer driven battery analyzers, battery chargers, heat-shrink ovens and strip-chart recorders to support custom assembly, design and engineering needs. We are also a Panasonic Authorized Modification Center and as such, have the ability to build custom-designed Panasonic battery packs. In addition to providing the services necessary to produce battery packs, such as design, welding and assembly, we supply materials such as wiring, connectors, and casings. We do maintain a broad inventory of various sizes of batteries and components utilized in battery pack production to serve immediate customer needs. Customers also are given the option of having their custom battery packs assembled domestically or in China to their specifications. Battery Recycling Coordination On May 13, 1996 The Environmental Protection Agency Battery Act was signed into law. The law had two purposes: to phase out the use of mercury in batteries, and to provide for the collection, recycling, and proper disposal of used nickel cadmium and sealed lead acid batteries. Among other requirements, the Battery Act also establishes national, uniform labeling requirements for "regulated batteries" and "rechargeable consumer products" that are manufactured domestically or imported and sold for use in the United States. The EPA enforcement alert issued in March of 2002 indicated that compliance was an issue and this problem is being given serious consideration. With these issues being revisited it is time for all battery vendors or resellers to examine whether they are in compliance. At UPG, we can help facilitate the pick up of your used sealed lead-acid batteries by authorized EPA haulers to be delivered to authorized smelters for proper recycling. Product Development/Turn-Key Solutions/Concept-to-Market UPG is able to assist you in many aspects, from engineering and design of your concepts, to product development, sourcing, packaging and marketing of the finished product. Private Branding UPG is able to source and/or manufacture a wide variety of products based on your specifications, and private label the products with your brandname. Other Custom Services Kitting, battery pack assembly, engineering and packaging design assistance, and sales and marketing support services are available depending on client needs.
